So for 5 years or so Saint Paul (MN) had a tribute to Charles M. Schultz, Creator of the Snoopy comics. Chuck is a native and to honor him the local businesses got together and several bought some of the character statues, designed the way they were painted and displayed them around town. This is a pic of Snoopy. There were several others (Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, etc.) and I will try to get pictures of as many as I can find that are still around town.

Addict

I have come to the somewhat depressing conclusion that I do indeed have an addictive personality. I have been trying to deny this for years (to myself anyway) but in the face of the given evidence, I must admit to being an addict.

Not to drugs or alcohol, mind you, but to Flair on Facebook, Fanfiction everywhere, movie trivia, Harry Potter, CSI . . . well you get the idea.

I figured this out when I realized I had spent the day reading a story and had forgotten about dinner or anything else until my bladder was painfully demanding attention.

I really don't mind being stuck on a story but it's happened with the above listed things too. I am therefore an addict.

BUT I'M NOT GIVING ANY OF THEM UP!!!!

So, for some unknown reason I slept until 11 am this morning (14hrs) and totally missed the phone call from my friend Sarah who was leaving for Europe this morning and will be gone for next year. Now don't get me wrong I know we can email and IM but I like talking to her on the phone and wanted to talk to her year old son who likes to tell "miss tiss" everything he has done the previous day (anyone who has young kids in their lives knows what I'm talking about)

Sigh.

My muse has decided to come back with a vengeance and bombard me with so many story ideas that it'll take a year to conquer them all!

Such is life.

New Addiction

Ok, so I've been meaning to watch Leverage for a while now and earlier this week TNT ran a marathon leading up to the season finale. I love it! And of course it doesn't hurt that one of my favorite actors/singers (Christian Kane) is in it.

Anyone else have a new entertainment addiction?

I'm trying to give up swearing for Lent but it's so f-ing hard!

I finally have internet set up in my house and can access it any time. The best part is that it's cable internet not dial-up like my last one.

I am finally getting used to my new teeth and am able to eat better with them. Still working on the really crunchy stuff, but I'm getting there.

I had to get a new keyboard because the keys on my other one quit working and I love it! It's curved so that it's erganomic and it has a bunch of extra keys that are quick launch settings as well as commands (such as save, open, spell check, etc.) and it makes it so nice when I'm writing or doing other projects!

I'm tired of the cold weather especially when it's windy. Spring can come any time now. =)

Before I moved in here, Dotty, the kitty cat spent most of her time in my room and now she's trying to take it back. I leave the door open for air circulation and she comes in, hops on the bed and makes herself comfortable. I'm able to get her out of the room when I am leaving the room to go down for food or to go out but when I'm back in my room it doesn't take her long to join me. She also likes to taunt the chihuahua, Cookie. Cookie is only about 7 months old and still VERY MUCH a puppy, but Dotty seems to enjoy letting her get close then chasing her off again.

Animals are so funny.

What do you get when you put a large hispanic family together for a weekend that includes a funeral and a Major birthday party?

Drunken spanish singing until 1am.

I'm not trying to offend anyone, however, the area in which they gather is right outside my bedroom window and since it has been warm this week, having the window open is necessary.

The other bother is that I can't cook since everyone has taken over the kitchen in preparation for the upcoming events, so that means I can't make the cold veggie pizza my friend Joe likes for his birthday, sorry Joe!

I will say that I LOVE my Blackberry phone! It has so many cool features and fun stuff, happiness!
